Open Question: Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares USA does my head in, god knows why I still watch it .....?
Its so contrived ..... I mean the whole thing is just one big 'set' ....... those 'diners' arent your 'average joes' off the street. They are paid by the production to be there. I mean funny how a failing restauarant that cant get any custom suddenly swells to bursting point when Gordon is there. And funny how when a chef gets mouthy with him he does the classic 'lets get everyone to send their meals back even if theres nothing wrong with them' to make him look bad. Only Yanks would fall for this nonsense ...... I mean people blame Bear Grylls for faking his scenes, but what Gordon when hes got a roomful of actors who just does what he says ....... 'Gordon, am I supposed to like or hate the food now? Im not sure which scene we are shooting here ......' Random rant over. moreOpen Question: Is there a sushi place in OKC that you can watch them make the food?

I am going back to NZ for a 'holiday' and I want to take some of my favourite foods back to France with me. Ok I know French food is apparantly great but I am really home sick and I miss things like cadbury products, pineapple lumps, scorched almonds, fantastic beef noodles, TIM TAMS, and V drinks. So I was thinking when I went home I would just stock up on all of my favourite comfort foods so I can have a personal supply at my new home in France. However, I know that customs has some problems with food being brought into other countries, but what are these rules. Does anyone know of any reliable (and official) sources where I can check these rules so that I don't get stop at customs and have all my food taken away from me? Any help would be much appreciated. Also you can leave comments on some other kiwi food that I can bring !! I am sure I am forgetting something!! CheersBringing food FROM NZ and into FRANCE. Some business owners at a San Juan Capistrano shopping center say routine checks by the U.S. Border Patrol are scaring away customers and hurting their bottom lines. Store owners at Alipaz Plaza at Del Obispo and Alipaz streets told Mayor Lon Uso during his Mayor's Walk this week that they want the city to ask the Border Patrol to stop going to the shopping center. The Mayor's Walk is a monthly event organized by the San Juan Chamber of Commerce in which the mayor visits local businesses to hear their concerns. Wednesday afternoon's walk was the first for Uso, who became mayor in December. "Last year I started hearing my customers say, 'Don't go to Alipaz Plaza, that's where (the Border Patrol agents) are hanging out,'" said Isabel Rizo Patron, owner of Isabel's Beauty Salon. Rizo Patron said she has a diverse group of customers but that many of her clients are Hispanic and don't like to be in an area frequented by the Border Patrol. The Border Patrol not only supervises border and interior checkpoints, such as the one a few miles south of San Clemente, but also inspects city streets much like a police force would, said Ralph Desio, a Border Patrol spokesman. He said the Border Patrol often checks shopping centers throughout Orange County as part of an increased push to check for illegal goods and immigrants beyond the borders. Uso listened to the concerns of Rizo Patron and others but said there's not much he can do when it comes to the agency formally known as U.S. Customs and Border Protection. "We don't determine what they do or where they do it," Uso said. Douglas Dumhart, the city's economic-development manager, who has been on many Mayor's Walks, said this is the first time he's heard of concerns about the Border Patrol's effect on commerce. But he said Alipaz Plaza has more Hispanic-based businesses than others that city and chamber officials have visited in the past. The center contains a few Mexican food restaurants, hair salons, a discount store and a coin laundry. Rizo Patron and Tuning Acosta, who has owned A-Team Enterprises Income Tax Services in the plaza for 15 years, said they understand that Border Patrol agents have a job to do, but they would prefer it be done somewhere else. Word of even one Border Patrol visit can spread through the community and cause some people to perceive Alipaz Plaza as an unsafe place for them, Rizo Patron said. So they spend their money elsewhere. Acosta, a paralegal who focuses on immigration law, said he is thinking about moving to another shopping center. The Border Patrol's effect, combined with the slumping economy, has decreased his client base by hundreds, he said. The Border Patrol's Desio said the fear of customers who are staying away from the plaza "perhaps has reason." "Perhaps their customers are here illegally," he said. http://www.ocregister.com/news/border-233915-patrol-mayor.html moreResolved Question: Are there any anthropological studies regarding forced assimilation/acculturation of hunter gathers....?

“For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” – Robert Louis Stevenson Studying abroad will liberate my mind from the prism of American chauvinism. The exposure and experiences I will garner studying abroad will allow me to grow as an Independent thinker. I have never left the United States. My morals, customs, ethics and ideologies are all reinforced by American culture. My morals can be found in books from American writers such as Toni Morrison, Jonathan Kozol, and James Baldwin. My daily customs telecasted on MTV in documentary format also known as “reality shows”. My ethics parallel to comedians Bill Mahr and Jon Stewart. My ideologies are reflected on blogging sites such as the Huffington Post. I feel secluded to an extent. Never leaving this country has trapped me in this box of liberal conformity. It is time for me to step out of comfort zone and into a place of unfamiliarity. Living in another country gives me an opportunity to explore not only a foreign land but myself as a human being. Studying abroad will broaden my horizons. It will allow me to reevaluate the way I see the world. This is crucial for a better understanding of the ambiguous. What is normal? What is respect? What is beauty? What is art? What is justice? What is rational? These questions sound simple but are very complex. For instance, a hermit could never answer these questions. Their worlds are too predicated on conventionality. Their definition of beauty, art, respect, and justice are completely subjective to their immediate environment, and is therefore inadequate. Having a more objective view on life will allow me to have a better appreciation for life. Spain is the ideal place to study abroad. Its deep history, sophisticated culture, and most importantly great food, allows it to stand hand and knees over other countries in Europe. I plan on living it up in Spain. Just thinking about the Seville Cathedral and its creative Gothic design as well as its deep roots in Catholicism sends chills down my spine. Witnessing the bravery, heart, and excitement of bullfighting will be exhilarating. The Flamenco is the most fascinating part of Spanish Culture. Everything from the dance, the harmonics to the singing intrigues me. Going to college it is not just about learning out of book but also learning through experiences. Studying abroad is one of the few learning experiences college student have that will stick with them for the rest of their lives. Traveling broadens the mind. It allows students to experience other ways of living and thinking that will enrich them as human beings. moreResolved Question: Parents in Law and Extended family arrangements?
My husband and I got married about 3 months ago. We have been seeing each other for over 3 years. Everything about this wedding has been a pain from the engagement to the wedding and now to living together. They are not horrible people but I just have just a hard time connecting with them. My FIL planned our ring ceremony in like two days while I was to go overseas on a family trip. I felt like I was not even given time to think what I want. His excuse- Oh I have a special guest who I want to part of this event. Guess what the guest never showed up. Then came the prenapture- The family (hubby and parents) decided it and presented it to me like a week before the wedding. I felt like my world was torn apart. I did agree and sign it since I know I came with nothing into this marriage and I'm not a gold digger. I wish that they had asked a little before that. Given me some time to digest the shock. I usually don't hold things against people or at least let go much easier than what I'm going through right now. (Op BTW- my hubby presented me the prenap and I was not allowed to tell or ask his parents what the huck this is all about. It rude in Indian custom for DIL to ask questions) I also have to stay veg for a year, against my wish, for this award called my hubby. You would think that this would be enough, but the real issues began once the wedding was over and we all starting living together. Dinner time is another issue. Since I have to stay veg, its hard to find good food and much easier if I eat at home. Usually I skip lunch. Dinner is not served until 9 or 9:30. I feel myself starving by then. When I ask for earlier dinner time, my FIL makes fun of me- making it sound like I'm weak or something. I don't even feel comfortable in this house to get or ask for food. I have always lived with my parents so I thought that I could adjust easily. My parent in law have videos of their son's party and activities from when he was in college. They are with other girls that he dated at those times. They (PIL) like to watch and make me watch with them and talked about these girls. Now I won't lay, I'm possessive. I have a hard time dealing with this and putting on a nice face like an Indian DIL is suppose to. I really wanna move out ut how do I tell my hubby without becoming a monster? We fight all the time as is. I really don't wanna fight any more. I feel so depressed just living here. moreResolved Question: Need help with the Modern Orthodox Jewish customs.?
I am planning my wedding. Both families are are reformed jews. One part of my fiance's family is Modern Orthodox. Hi, Recently I had ordered online for a nutritional supplement from canada through the vender's website. They told me that package will be shipped only via DHL since the custom would hold the package otherwise. They also told me that the amount should be final which was USD 155 including product cost+Shipping and no additional charges would be required. But now DHL called me and told me that the package is listed under food category and therefore they are not unable to deliver the package until they get an N.O.C from Chennai health department wich would cost me an additional 7500.00 Rs (apprx 163 USD). I think this is crazy because my package costs only 155 including all charges and I have to pay 163 USD extra just to get it delivered to me. I saved an extremely ill kitty last summer and now she's losing it. Brief medical history: she was cured of cuterebra when she was 6-10weeks and is fine now (she's almost 9 months). She's had all of her shots but has not yet been spayed (appointment for 1st week of April). Although she is as cute as she can be she is becoming a terror: 1) has totally destroyed custom sheers, 2) scratched my hands, 3) gets on the toilet (we try to remember to keep the lid closed) to drink water despite her bowl having fresh food and water daily, 4) today she managed to jump into the kitchen sink-- a pretty high jump. I know everyone these days is against declawing, but I'm beginning to rethink it. Does anyone know WHY she's doing these things? and WHAT I can do to correct her behavior?I do NOT want to spray my kitty b/c I want to ensure she was NOT afraid of water. She does stop adverse behavior if I rattle a container of coins at her-- it actually drives her crazy. I've owned a cat before-- for 15 years actually, he was NOT like her. I play w/ her all day (work from home) and she has a TON of different types of toys to appeal to the various needs of cats... not to mention 'home made' toys. Based on comments thus far (w/ the exception of the RN= r ya nuts?) I thank all of you and look forward to getting her spayed. Mellow will be good! Hi! I posted a similar question like this before, but people easily disqualify it without further reading. Below, I want to show you that there were people who opposed Jesus back then, and talked about him. These are all external referances, and had nothing to do with Bible, but tells us that a real Jesus did exist, and did get crucified. Please read some of them. Keep in mind that it would be amazing if there was an ancient record of Jesus outside of the Bible. Jesus lived over 2000 years ago. He is an ANCIENT figure from history, and there are some things that we need to remember about historical figures and events from this period of time: 1. There are amazingly few manuscripts of ANY text written during Jesus' time 2. Historians of this period wrote amazingly little about religious figures anyway 3. Jesus was active for an amazingly short period of time (just three years) 4. Jesus ministered in an amazingly remote corner of the Roman Empire Now, given that these facts are true about the life of Jesus and the people who were recording history two thousand years ago, it would be surprising to find much ancient material related to Jesus at all. But, there ARE a number of ancient non-biblical records that tell of Jesus! Lets take a look at some of them and lets try to reconstruct what they tell us about Jesus. Lets pretend like there are NO remaining Biblical records about Jesus. Imagine that all of them were destroyed. Lets see what we can reconstruct not from people who loved Jesus, but from hostile eye-witnesses (people who did NOT love Jesus). Remember, that hostile eyewitnesses are sometimes the best witnesses we can have. While they may try their best to interpret what they see in a negative way, they confirm, at least, basic facts about the existence of the man we know as Jesus Christ. Hostile Non-Biblical Pagan Witnesses There are a number of ancient classical accounts of Jesus from pagan Greek sources. These accounts are generally hostile to Christianity and try to explain away the miraculous nature of Jesus and the events that surrounded his life. Lets look at these hostile accounts and see what they tell us about Jesus: Thallus (52AD) Thallus is perhaps the earliest secular writer to mention Jesus and he is so ancient that his writings dont even exist anymore. But Julius Africanus, writing around 221AD does quote Thallus who had previously tried to explain away the darkness that occurred at the point of Jesus crucifixion: "On the whole world there pressed a most fearful darkness; and the rocks were rent by an earthquake, and many places in Judea and other districts were thrown down. This darkness Thallus, in the third book of his History, calls, as appears to me without reason, an eclipse of the sun." (Julius Africanus, Chronography, 18:1) If only more of Thallus record could be found, we would see that every aspect of Jesus life could be verified with a non-biblical source. But there are some things we can conclude from this account: Jesus lived, he was crucified, and there was an earthquake and darkness at the point of his crucifixion. Pliny the Younger (61-113AD) Early Christians are also described in secular history. Pliny the Younger, in a letter to the Roman emperor Trajan, describes the lifestyles of early Christians: "They (the Christians) were in the habit of meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light, when they sang in alternate verses a hymn to Christ, as to a god, and bound themselves by a solemn oath, not to any wicked deeds, but never to commit any fraud, theft or adultery, never to falsify their word, nor deny a trust when they should be called upon to deliver it up; after which it was their custom to separate, and then reassemble to partake of food—but food of an ordinary and innocent kind." This EARLY description of the first Christians documents several facts: the first Christians believed that Jesus was GOD, the first Christians upheld a high moral code, and these early followers et regularly to worship Jesus. Suetonius (69-140AD) Suetonius was a Roman historian and annalist of the Imperial House under the Emperor Hadrian. His writings about Christians describe their treatment under the Emperor Claudius (41-54AD): "Because the Jews at Rome caused constant disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus (Christ), he (Claudius) expelled them from the city (Rome)." (Life of Claudius, 25:4) This expulsion took place in 49AD, and in another work, Suetonius wrote about the fire which destroyed Rome in 64 A.D. under the reign of Nero. Nero blamed the Christians for this fire and he punished Christians severely as a result: "Nero inflicted punishment on the Christians, a sect given to a new and mischievous religious belief." (Lives of the Caesars, 26.2) There is much we can learn from Suetonius as it is related to the life of early Christians. From this very EARLY account, we know that Jesus had an immediate impact on his follo moreResolved Question: Atheist's, I need to know your opinions, as to why you disqualify Jesus?
Hello! I am a fresh person who just left Islam, and is looking into other religions. Christianity interests me because it also has the concept of eternal damnation, which makes me fear for it. I don't care much for this life, as I am suicidal anyways. I just want to know the truth, and your opinions matter to me. If you don't have time, then please skim thorugh it quickly, or else try to read it as much as you can. Thank you. I will make several points. a. There are amazingly few manuscripts of ANY text written during Jesus' time b. Historians of this period wrote amazingly little about religious figures anyway c. Jesus was active for an amazingly short period of time (just three years) d. Jesus ministered in an amazingly remote corner of the Roman Empire 1. Jesus did existed. There is no doubt about that. Archeology proves the place he resided on, while the historian Josephus also wrote about him. There are also other accounts of him. Note that these are external sources, from others who were against him. Hostile Non-Biblical Pagan Witnesses There are a number of ancient classical accounts of Jesus from pagan Greek sources. Not long after his death, did the New Testament was compiled from witnesses who were alive at the time. How could it be then that all the witness accounts were myth's? 3. The Original Testament (Torah) was already established by the Jews well BC. The New Testament was recieved by the Church from the Apostles or their close aquaintences. The teachings they recieved directly fron the Apostles, the writings were recieved by the Church in agreement with the witness of the Holy Spirit, The Church didnt institute the Scriptures, God did by the Spirit. can someone please simplify this a little bit, put it in other words. hahahaha :) Most Hindu marriages are arranged by the parents, although the children must also be happy with their chosen partner. Hindus almost always marry within the same caste, although in modern times there are increasing exceptions. A wedding is one of the most colorful and important ceremonies in all of Hinduism. Although customs vary greatly in different regions, marriages are always joyous, momentous occasions, rich with decorations and food. In fact, some Hindu weddings last as long as three days! The ceremony centers around a sacred fire, a manifestation of the god, Agni. Family and friends surround the couple as a priest chants Sanskrit verses. Next, he leads the bride and groom around the flames which burn in a brick firepit. Bells are sounded, and many offerings are made to the fire, including clarified butter, grains, and flowers. Each time the couple completes their circuit, the bride stands on one of the bricks. This act affirms her strength and loyalty. Finally, the bride and groom take seven steps around the flames. These steps are the most significant action in a Hindu wedding. Now the couple is bonded for life, their union sanctified. moreVoting Question: Buddhist religion society and culture?

My mother is from the Philippines so I grew up with a lot of Filipino culture, customs, and always head the language around the house. My favorite food is a Filipino soup called Sinigang. I'm thinking about moving there in a few years (maybe late this year just to visit because I want to find me an aussie man and also just for the fun) now here's what I know I know I will have to take a test for me to become a citizen. You get movies and electronics at a later date than america although the movies aren't important to me I will fly home to get the latest electonics if necessary. If i get married to an aussie I have to be with them for a few years (although marriage is forever with me no divorces unless necessary)and they have to be a resident there. I have to have some kind of skill that is beneficial for australia. It can get very hot and maybe dry, dvd regions is different, seasons are reversed from here in america, prices are higher, I think u guys use rain water, food may taste different, I get perms (yes I'm black, african american or whatever u want to call me) and I'm not sure if u all have that and my hair can't tolerate just anything so I guess when it comes down to perm time I will be flying back to america..... Just joking I don't have bad hair so I can go without one. So really the questions is really what else I need to know about australia give me links if necessary? I'm going to school to become a web page designer and I was wondering if that can be a good skill to take to australia with me or do I need to change it to something else even if I have to go to school there? I can adapt to any culture and their rules, I am a quiet person (a bit nervous at times) but nice if u just say hello to me. Also once I become a citizen will I lose my american citizenship? I know that I will just be called Australian instead of black australian, black american australian or things like that but seriously I want to make your country my second home and to start my family so that way they won't have to worry about crime that much and other bad things that had been going on here in america but also because I want them to experience different customs. This has been a dream of mine to go there so please give me as much info as you can or just the website. Thank you all who answers :-) P.S. I am a laid back person, I don't take things seriously plus I love aussie humor I don't care how the other americans take it call me crazy but I love it! moreResolved Question: Isnt the tipping custom ridiculous?
the custom of tipping in america is ridiculous and rather barbarous to have to bribe someone to bother to give you good service, why is it the customers responsibility to pay the salary of the waiters? Its absoulutely ridiculous, I go out to eat to enjoy my food, I dont want to be worrying about how Im going to be paying these strangers for handing me a cup of water, when I could just get up & do it myself. really this gives the waiters a sense of cattyness & self importance, if you dont tip waiters will be angry & give bad service,, & if you are rude to them they may spit in your food. In Japan (where I have been living the past few years) waiters donot receive any tips from customers, & they give excellent service, they receive the same minimum wage as a cook or a busboy. I mean its so simple, if you dont do your job which is to serve & give great service then you should simply be fired from that position. it should be the responsibility of the employers to give waiters normal wages of a unskilled job, not the customers.think of why you tip in the 1st place, (yep because there company doesnt want to pay them enough) Honestly I think the cooks are the ones who are working the hardest, if not just as hard, & its sad because they are behind the scenes sweating cooking orders non-stop, so if anyone truly deserves a tip, its the Cooks. tipping is getting out of control these days. It seems like everywhere I go now days there's a tip jar on the counter. The corner store, the coffee shop, the bakery, even at drive thrus etc.... Next there will be tip jars at the grocery store!! This is ridiculous! I try never to tip. If I tip, I feel like a tool, or a trained dog.sarah give me a break, Ive seen waiters get 20$ tips not only that but they are serving multiple tables. all in all, they do make more than the cooks or busboyswhich is unfair. Ive worked in that industry before, so I know! moreResolved Question: home work help ... please help?

I don't know any better way to put it! I've had my little girl Luna since October and I believe she was born mid-July so she's pretty young still. I know she is a Marshall ferret because of the documents that came with her and the tattoo on her ear. I am told that Marshall breed's their ferrets to be very docile and chilled out so would that be why my Luna simply sits and stares off into space? The only time she does anything other than stare and eat is when she is out of the cage having playtime in the house with her big brother Izzie. He's nearly 3 years old and I'm not sure where he is from, he has no tattoo's and no documentation with him. I adopted him from a guy who had to go into drug re-hab! Izzie is very active when he is awake, he will run around the cage and try to play with Luna and she will just sit and stare while he jumps all over her. He definitely feels the need to display his dominance regularly.. he is always chewing on her neck until she makes little whimpering noises and sometimes drags her under furniture by the neck but she never tries to fight back. At first I tried to stop it but then I read that it's best just to let them go at it.. no blood, no poo, no foul. It just makes me feel bad like she is depressed and doesn't enjoy her life, the only time she acts happy is when she is by herself running around the house and every once in a while she will play with Izzie outside the cage. Their cage shouldn't be an issue.. I custom built it 6'x3'x1.5' it has 5 levels with 2 hammocks, 2 igloos, 2 litter pans and even 2 food bowls and water bottles! Oh those spoiled ferrets don't know how good they have it =D Oh and to add to things Izzie loves being held and getting his back scratched, he will lick your face all day long! Luna hates being held and has never licked me. So is it most likely just the fact that she is a Marshall ferret and was bred to be calm and in-active? Or am I a horrible ferret parent ='(Just to make it clear since I didn't really spell it out, the two have been living in the same cage for 4 months now so it's not new roommate stress, this has been their daily lives for quite a while now. There was a scary first week when Luna came to live in the cage where Izzie had already established his home. Izzie became very stressed and got sick, he had to make an emergency trip to the vet and get medicine which he didn't like one bit! moreResolved Question: What's a good career for me?

My younger brother has allergies to milk, eggs, nuts and sesame seeds. Over the past couple years I've been trying to stock up our house with every substitute imaginable, so he doesn't have to feel left out. He eats soy milk with his cereal, we've found him allergen-free bread for toast, he eats home-made apple pie, we even make pancakes! The biggest thing left on my list is chocolate. We make cookies a lot (we found an allergen-free baker's cookbook!) and he always asks for things like chocolate chip cookies or chocolate chunk brownies/blondies. I really can't find any chocolate he can eat. The book recommends a couple, but they don't ship to Canada (or if they do, it costs over 30 dollars in shipping and customs for a 200g bar...). I've gone to a couple health-food stores asking for vegan chocolate, but everything may-contain nuts. I've found milk-free baker's chocolate as well, but it may-contain milk/nuts as well. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! moreResolved Question: Where can I buy dairy-free nut-free chocolate (in Canada)?

I'll be flying to China tomorrow, I've never flown internationally before so I really don't know what to expect. I'll be landing in Beijing (by myself.. sigh) first, and then have a 3.5 hour layover before I fly to the city where I'm meeting with someone I know. When I get to the Beijing airport, is there something that will guide me in the right direction? I mean, will I have to first check in with some international travel customs, or show someone my passport? Also, I'm bringing no chinese money with me... I know I should, but I was just too lazy to go get it converted at a bank, haha. So will I have to use ATM's to withdraw local currency? Or do food places or whatever I need to buy in the chinese airports accept dollars? Or.... huh.. as you can see, I really don't know what's going on here. Any advice or help would be great! We should adopt mandatory prison sentences for CEOs hiring illegal aliens February 11, 12:15 AM Illegal aliens arrested at Iowa's Agriprocessors Inc. APIn July 2009, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced that Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. agreed to pay a $40,000 fine for hiring illegal aliens. An inspection by ICE discovered Krispy Kreme hired dozens of illegal aliens at their Cincinnati, OH factory. According to the terms of the agreement, in addition to paying the fine, the doughnut maker promised to revamp their hiring process in order to hire only those authorized to work in this country. No one at Krispy Kreme was sent to prison, and the $40,000 fine, for a company that saw revenues of $384 million in 2009 alone, is downright laughable. Another 2009 investigation, discovered that 1,800 of American Apparel’s workers were illegal aliens, using fraudulent documents. The company which is located in Los Angeles is the nation’s largest clothing manufacturer, and the 1,800 illegal workers represented a third of their workforce. The owners of American Apparel have been outspoken proponents of an amnesty plan for this nation’s illegal alien population. The following is a short list of some of the more high-profile companies recently caught with illegal aliens in their employ: Agriprocessors Inc. - On May 12, 2008, ICE agents executed criminal and administrative search warrants at Agriprocessors, Inc., in Postville, IA, which resulted in the arrest of 389 illegal aliens. 305 of those arrested were also convicted of criminal offenses. CEO Sholom Rubashkin was arrested and charged with federal conspiracy of harboring illegal immigrants and aiding and abetting aggravated identity theft. However, the U.S. Attorney’s office later dropped all 72 charges against him. Pilgrim’s Pride - On April 16, 2007, ICE agents arrested 311 illegal aliens working at five Pilgrim’s Pride sites. Of the 311 arrested, 91 were charged with other criminal violations. Del Monte Produce - On June 12, 2007, ICE agents arrested 168 illegal alien employees at their Portland, OR facility. In addition to the illegal workers, 13 managers and other workers were arrested and charged with various crimes including selling Social Security cards. Swift and Company - On Dec. 12, 2006, ICE agents arrested 1,297 illegal aliens at six Swift meat processing factories in six states. 274 of those arrested were also charged with other criminal offenses. Smithfield Foods - After ICE agents raided the Tar Heel, NC plant and arrested 21 illegal alien workers, 500 workers with fake Social Security numbers were promptly fired from the factory. Another raid in August 2007, netted 28 more illegal aliens, all were from Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. Whether it is a landscaping company run-out of someone’s den in Cicero, IL; a 30-unit independent hotel in Virginia Beach, VA; or a corporate giant such as Tyson Foods Inc., once caught with illegal aliens in their employ, the head of that company should spend the next ten years of their life in prison. Additionally, all of that company’s profits made during the period they employed illegal aliens should be seized, with the money going directly to help pay for border enforcement. Instead of simply rounding-up the illegal workers (many of whom will not even be deported as a result), and focusing on low-level company employees for prosecution, if there is to be any…We need to begin placing leg irons on the CEOs of companies who make a practice of hiring illegal aliens. If we arrested these traitors in their walnut paneled offices, and perp-walked them into court for all to see, it would not only punish those who are truly responsible for the illegal replacement of the American worker, but send a powerful message to corporate America…Hire illegal aliens, and you will lose everything you have! We must demand that our lawmakers see to it that American companies, actually hire American workers…not invaders. Of course, those same lawmakers will first have to extract themselves from the hip pockets of many those companies. moreResolved Question: Rate my resume pleaseeee!!!?
