I do leasing for the elderly and disabled and it's income based. About 2 months ago I got a call from an attorney. He knew of a homeless guy that lived in front of where he worked. He brought him in to see me and fill out an application. He paid his security deposit, bought him a matress and paid for a hotel for the man until his apartment was ready. So, today he came to sign the lease and he told me that I had done an excellent thing and gave me a $50 gift card to Outback Steakhouse! Seriously? i work at outback steakhouse and we have 4 managers but theres one who was cool for awile and now i think he hates me when ive done nothing to him i get my work done and everything and i think hes just picking on me but theres a line between joking and disrespect heres some of the things hes done
1. called me gay IN FRONT OF A CUSTOMER
we were walking buy bussing tables and the other bus boy was walking in front of my while the manager was selling gift cards and he said to the other bus boy you might want to have him walk in front of you so he doesnt "you know"
2. left to throw trash without me
2 of the 3 busboys are supposed to throw trash and he told the other busser to go throw and didnt tell me and when i went to throw trash after i found out they went he lauged and said here he comes then started talking with the busser and made me proceed to do the rest of the trash alone
3. just earlier today i was doing dishes and the other 2 dishwashers arrived so i went to tell him i was leaving because last time i left without saying the other dishwashers were here and a different manager told me to tell someone next time but anyways i was telling him i was leaving and he just said "get out of my face"
ive said nearly nothing to him the whole time ive worked there i dont know what i could have done to piss him off ive never argued with what he tells me to do and i always do it but just because hes a manager doesnt give him the right to treat me like shit i would understand if i had done something but i havent
i also cant quit because their the only place who can work with my school schedule and i need the money to pay gas and other crap
what do i do i want to just confront him and say something but im afraid ill lose my job or its just gonna get worseoh my bad sorry im not actually gay thats just one of his ways of picking on me

My neighbor got sent to the hospital 2 days ago because shes sick. shes in her mid fifties I would say. me and my husband talk to her twice or three times since we moved here. she always says hi when she sees us. I was wondering, is it appropriet to make dinner for her when she comes out of the hospital. well, I'm not really a good cook but I was thinking of giving her a gift certificate from Outback Steakhouse or something like that in a "get well soon" card. that way, she doesn't have to cook dinner for atleast one night. her husband can go order whatever they want because I really don't know what they like to eat, not to mention food allergies. if you have a better idea than that, please say so. I like to do nice things for people because I was once in the same situtaion and had all these people helped me when I couldn't help myself. serious answers only!!I thought about flowers too, but I rather give her something that she needs or would use.
