I met a guy recently through friends but I am not sure if I want to date him again. He told me that he used to work as a stripper. His ex-girlfriends were strippers or low class vulgar emigrants from Albania. He comes from a bad part of town and has no education. Open Question: Don't know what to do, my mother in law actually is having a psychotic break.?

So here is the scoop, my fiance and I live with his grandparents to help take care of them. He grandmother has Alzheimers.His mother moved back from New Hampshire a couple years ago to help out. (We're in CA). When she moved out here, she decided to see the same psychiatrist that my fiance sees. He has ADD and takes Adderall for it. The Dr. put her on the same meds. At first things were OK, put then it seems that her mental state has really been debatable. It has really gotten a lot worse in the past couple weeks. Let me run down some things she has done in the couple weeks, 1. She has started either talking or humming to herself constantly. 2. She has been accusing her son of stealing her car keys to take gas from her car and hiding her kitchen tools. 3. Accusing me of clogging up the toilets and that anything I leave in the house (like a bag) collects dust to worsen the grandpa's COPD. 4. She sometimes doesn't sleep at all (maybe a few hours) 5. She sometimes sleeps all day 6. She recently kicked out her husband (end of last year), then now called him over, called him a piece of s**t and asked for him to move back in, after saying she wants a divorce and never wants to see him again (all in the same breath) 7. She thinks some rooms in the house smell like rotten meat. 8. She is blaming me right now for everything wrong in the house. 9. When she is talking her to herself, it varies from talking to another person, from highs to lows, to the dog (we actually have a dog, so not that bad), to just mumbling to herself. I do believe it has a lot to do with the Adderall she is taking, and I do believe she is taking more than the recommended dose because she always runs out before her next prescription is written. But the scary part is that she has been out of pills for a few days now and her symptoms have not gone away. Before a few weeks ago, she was still passable for sane, even though she was accusing her husband of taking money out of her bank account to make it over drawn. (he doesn't even have access to that account, it's hers) My fiance believes that the smell part is a big deal. She has been on about smells for a while. 1. She couldn't sleep next to her husband because he smelled too much. 2. She smells an intense cigarette smoke in my fiance's car. 3. She smells rotten meat in the living room. 4. She has been putting a bad smelling incense around the house to "clean" the house 5. She used to sleep with the dog every night and now doesn't because it smells too bad. And I'm sure it related but she has been cleaning far more than usual. She spent 5 hours cleaning a room that was perfectly clean. She also has been making it look like no one lives here. For examples, the bathroom used to have air cleaners, a plant, shampoos, soap, etc and now it looks like a hotel bathroom with nothing in it. I guess what I'm trying to get at is that she has been exhibiting some really unreasonable behavior and doesn't see how anything is wrong except for everyone else. I can go on forever listing things, but really we just don't know what to do. We have tried talking to her Dr. and letting him know everything that has been going on. His response was "I'll do some looking around." What does that even mean? We are at out wits end. Please, anyone with some advice out there as to what could be wrong or what we can do to fix it? more

Open Question: Is it worth it to go to an anime con?

Well, long story short a friend of mine invited me to go with him and his girlfriend to ACEN. It would be about a 6 hour drive and I would be the driver (thats one of the reasons they invited me). Hotel room and everything including spending money would probably come to around $600. I love anime and just about anything japan related just as much as the next otaku but since its a little sudden I dont have a cosplay put together or anything like that. I'm a bit cautious about spending 3 days with two people who I really dont know extremely well, I trust them enough to not drug me in my sleep but we've not hung out enough to really warrant this kind of thing. So, the main thing is, do you guys think it sounds like a good idea? If some fellow con-goers could give me some advice about their previous con experiences that would help too. Are cons actually as cool as people make them out to be or is it over rated? more

Open Question: How to get a dog to stop barking at other dogs on the TV!?

I have an approx. 3 yo Italian Greyhound that is the most wonderful dog in the world, with the except of one behavior that makes my partner and I crazy. Mojo barks at any animal he sees on TV. He seems to see them as a threat as he charges the TV and barks and surges at them until they go away. After we scold him for barking he will whine for a couple of minutes. We are supposing he thinks the TV is a window and that there is some eminent threat of the animal invading the house. He will pounce on the TV and it has become dangerous because he shakes the TV. I am afraid that he will knock it over on him. I can't even walk out of the room without being afraid an animal will come on the TV. He has come to recognize the music in various commercials and will come running from another room to attack the Purina cat chow kitties, surging and lunging at the TV. Anyone else have similar behavior and know of an effective way to train this out of a dog? Any help would be appreciated. The General Manager where I booked my wedding block told me I wasn't worth the trouble and cancelled my contract less than five weeks before my wedding. I am planning on going to the CMA fest in Nashville this year. I am actually vacationing in Nashville now, and love it so much that I am already planning my next trip. My question is, how should I go about getting tickets to the events, should I book them with my hotel in a package, or seperately? I would like to stay in a cheap hotel as long as it is somewhat decent because I wont be there all that much. I went through expedia for my trip now and got hotel rooms between 40-50 a night. I will be going with a friend and the cheapest rate for a double package, was 505, I don't really know but for only only 4 nights hotel stay, and tickets, that seems high for each person to pay. Open Question: Wait tell after trip or do it before?

I had asked this question earlier today but got a entire 2 answers and neither really, in my opinion, that helpful. Well one was in a way but merely in the wait tell back but was trying to say I should see if change my mind. Its not about changing mind now this was long enough post but to explain all of why would take 5 times more space. Have been married for 22 years later this month. Not going into all the details but finally have had enough emotional/psychological pain and abuse. Really should have filed for divorce years ago but went into counseling with wife which just really amounted to her not owning up to her issues and just gave her more thinks to attack with or about. I changed/corrected things that were kind of my little quirks but she didn't even try to fix the big ones of hers let alone the little ones. But like said not going into that. Think stayed then more so for the kids which are now both grown and the last year and half been staying because of habit or fear of being alone the rest of my life. My wife feeds me the line that no one would want me and for some reason I have/had believed it. Since that time though have opened up with a few female friends have at part time job I took when got lay-ed off last year. I really needed input from a female perspective and they said my wife is full of it that I truly have gone above and beyond as a husband/father and any women would be lucky to have a man like me. That really boosted my ego but that was not what wanted just really wanted input to see if I was off base and somehow my actions were the cause of my marriage troubles. What really amazes me is that have strength in every aspect except regard to ending my marriage. Guess its part that I like to fix things and keep my word and do not want to admit that made bad choice 22 years ago. Back to question in a couple weeks suppose to take a trip with wife to see son and celebrate a big moment with him and his fiancee. We have made the reservations booked/payed for everything for this 4 day trip. My wife is thinking of this trip kind of a romantic get away along with the real reason for the trip. Since she and our daughter are taking a bigger trip around June for 3 weeks without me since I can not take time off then. Needless to say I do not see the trip same way but really to go see son/fiancee and attend celebration. Like to add since making the decision that going to divorce about month ago have not had time to see a lawyer yet. Also have not been intimate with wife since about that same time and she has been getting little heated over that fact. I mean she has done everything but physically attack/rape me but since making the decision to get divorce just does not seem right or make sense to continue any thing physical. Have gone so far, over the last week, to work longer at my main job and/or asked for extra hours at par-time job so not at home tell she goes to bed. The only bad thing is like this last saturday I awoke to her performing oral on me as I woke up but told her to stop because had to go to bathroom and then suggested we go out for breakfast so stopped that even though really did not have to use the bathroom. So my dilemma is should I just bite the bullet get paperwork started before the celebration for my son and ruin the trip and celebration. Well actually might cause so we lose the money we spent/put on credit card since she will probably not go with me and be awkward then traveling and sleeping in same hotel room so just a big mess. My plan was to wait tell got back from the celebration but its making it that long (couple more weeks) and making it through those 4 days with just the 2 of us when she is thinking it will be a romantic weekend. Also on side note what occurs when file and the one party leaves the country for a while when the proceedings are started? That is what her 3 week trip is outside of country. more

Im a 24 years old and deaf mother. My baby daddy mike, friend, and i brought my stuff in mikes car from my parents house. We took our son bradley to the doctor he was sick. We went to the stores and restaurant. We stayed at the hotel, bradley stopped breathing. He was almost died. We had to do cpr his friend called 911. Ambulance brought me and bradley to the hospital. Bradley is in PICU. Mike and i been there at like 1am until 6am then we left to the hotel we were very tired and didnt sleep very well we were gonna leave to arkansas but we cant cause bradley is in the hospital. Next day we came back to the hospital and talked to the social worker. Mike told her we were leaving to arkansas to put my stuff up there then come back. Mike's room was full and no room. We left to arkansas. We didnt go to the hospital for 2 or 3 days. Im deaf i cant hear and talk on the phone. We dont have internet so i cant call tx relay call the hospital to see how bradley doing but mikes grandmother called them everyday. We cant afford to stay at hotel until he released. We put my stuff and bradleys at his grandmother's house. CPS texted me and said they have ronald mcdonald house in hospital. I didnt know about that. Have been married for 22 years later this month. Not going into all the details but finally have had enough emotional/psychological pain and abuse. Really should have filed for divorce years ago but went into counseling with wife which just really amounted to her not owning up to her issues and just gave her more thinks to attack with or about. I changed/corrected things that were kind of my little quirks but she didn't even try to fix the big ones of hers let alone the little ones. But like said not going into that. Think stayed then more so for the kids which are now both grown and the last year and half been staying because of habit or fear of being alone the rest of my life. My wife feeds me the line that no one would want me and for some reason I have/had believed it. Since that time though have opened up with a few female friends have at part time job I took when got lay-ed off last year. I really needed input from a female perspective and they said my wife is full of it that I truly have gone above and beyond as a husband/father and any women would be lucky to have a man like me. That really boosted my ego but that was not what wanted just really wanted input to see if I was off base and somehow my actions were the cause of my marriage troubles. What really amazes me is that have strength in every aspect except regard to ending my marriage. So my dilemma is should I just bite the bullet get paperwork started before the celebration for my son and ruin the trip and celebration. Well actually might cause so we lose the money we spent/put on credit card since she will probably not go with me and be awkward then traveling and sleeping in same hotel room so just a big mess. My plan was to wait tell got back from the celebration but its making it that long (couple more weeks) and making it through those 4 days with just the 2 of us when she is thinking it will be a romantic weekend. I am 18 years old, soon to be 19 this June. I'm going to college in the summer online, my placement exam doesn't start until April 26th. I'm also rescheduling my driver's (road) test until middle of May to give me more time. I'm working pretty hard on getting everything together, so my parents can stop worrying about me not having everything done in time. Well I got the invitation from my boyfriend to go to a Anime Boston this year with him, which I've wanted to go to for 4 years but for so many reasons couldn't go. I'm leaving end of March to April 8th. We'll be staying at a hotel across the way from the convention, so we'll be walking. We're not sure whether or not it'll just be us in a room because his friends haven't decided. Also it's his birthday (21 years old) the day after the convention. I'll be gone about a week and several days. Boyfriend lives 1,000 miles from me and they've met him, so obviously I'll be taking a plane. I can afford the ticket and have about 200 dollars left over, I've been saving for a while. My parents are kind of overprotective of me, which I can understand because they love me and just want me to be save. However I've seen a lot of death around me, so I'm all for live for the moment type motto. They're not going to like this much, I intend to talk with them. Problem is I have a hard enough time just walking the dog on the sidewalk. More Details: I just feel really guilty about doing something for me. I intend to call them every chance I get, even going to buy the cellphone and payment plan myself. I'm really not good at communication cause everytime I try to talk to them, I feel like a child and like I'm not going to be taken seriously. Especially not when mom is being really critical of me, which hurts. Holding past mistakes against me and treating me like a stranger. I am sorry this is a long e-mail but I could not miss any parts of it I sent an e-mail to my friend (a girl too) a few weeks ago telling her that I loved her. She replied something like "love is a great thing to share with me." and I got confused and received mixed friend's interpretations about that. It took me 3 years to be able to say it. Resolved Question: Navy wives, when did you meet your navy husband and how long has it been?

My boyfriend left for Great Lakes, IL for boot camp and I can't be any more proud of him than I am now. I miss him terribly and it's only been a week. I know this is typical teenager activity, but I can't help but wonder about the question I posted above. I'm sure we have potential because he is so kind-hearted. He made me see the good in myself and when I finally was beginning to grasp it, he was getting ready to ship out.
