I eat a balanced diet but am really unactive which is why I am heavier than I should be. I recently joined a gym and thought that I could do: 1) 20 minutes cycling 2) 20 minutes on the running machine (15mins jog, 5 mins walk) 3) 10 minutes rowing 4) 10 minutes using various equipment for toning 5) 5 minutes on the crosstrainer If this is good I will happily do it but I really NEED to loose those 2 stone then I will be at a healthy BMI and have a good body. He loves making fun of my red hair and burnt umber skin. When he’s not calling me Red he’s calling me Brown Cherry or Cherry for short. “She’s alive! It’s a miracle!” he screams almost at the top of his lungs, throwing his arms above his head. My ears ring painfully from his loud shout which echoed through the proscenium. I felt my temperature rise. “Yeah I’m alive but you won’t be if you don’t let me sleep.” “Growl, I like my women feisty.” He teases. “What do you want?” I look at the clock on the wall behind me. “The show doesn’t start until this evening and it’s not even past noon. Walkthroughs don’t even start until one.” I bury my head back into my pillow. “I wanted to buy you breakfast. You’ve been working really hard and I think you deserve it. Resolved Question: Listed "weight capacity" of home exercise equipment - realistic or overprotective?

I'm a heavy (350-to-375-ish) person looking to get a recumbent stationary bike for exercise, and I'm finding that pretty much all of the reasonably-priced models seem to list "weight capacities" of between 250 and 300 lbs, if they list one at all. So I'm wondering if anyone out there can give me some idea of how realistic these weight limits actually are. Are they basically just there to protect the manufacturer from possible lawsuits or claims of "poor workmanship"? (If it's actually a serious issue, why are there some models that don't bother to specify a limit?) When someone who is over the limit uses the equipment.. are we talking "It could fall to pieces without warning and leave you lying on the floor with a broken leg"? Or more like "It will wear out faster with regular use and might need to be replaced in 5 years instead of 10"? I mean, I never ask what the weight limit of, say, an office chair is before I sit down in it, and I don't exactly go around breaking office chairs by sitting in them... more

Resolved Question: Can I shoot in portrait with a 70-200mm lens on a tripod?

Hi there, It might seem like a stupid question but I just purchased a 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II lens and I wanted to shoot in portrait orientation attached to my 7D. It's fairly heavy and I was worried about leaving it "sideways" on a tripod. Is it okay to do so? Don't want $4,000 worth of equipment falling on the ground!I've always considered horizontal to be "landscape" and vertical to be "portrait". At least that's what Microsoft Word considers it to be. I live in the state of Washington. i recently decided to paint my house due to the paint being old i painted it to a nice brown, soon after i was finished a neighbor told me that she is surprised that the neighborhood committee hasn't complained, she mentioned that if they didn't like the color i would have to choose a different color until they approve of it. i also am in the process of remodeling the backyard due to the previous owners carelessness in choosing a landscape contractor, she mentioned that i need permission for that (im not involving heavy equipment for the project) and also that im not allowed to have a small plastic tool shed (from home depot) and that it must be wooden, i purchased this home and i pay the mortgage every month without the committee help am i not entitled to do what i deem necessary? the neighbor also mentioned that if the committees drove by my house and didn't like the paint they would require me to paint it back to its old color. can they do that?even to the point where i cant have a shed made of plastic? more

in this heat wave with temperatures in the upper 90's while wearing a heavy bullet proof vest (which is like wearing a heavy winter coat under their uniform) and carrying about 20 pounds of equipment on their belts. Why doesn't the New York City Police Union do something about this Like letting police officers use air conditioned patrol cars in this heat wave? if there aren't enough police cars for all the police officers to use. I work for a heavy equipment company that contracts with a coal mine. Last night, I wrecked our company service truck, the truck was fine but a mine welder was damaged in the accident. I immediately contacted the mine foreman on shift, as well as my boss. I was allowed to finish the shift, wasn't asked to take a drug test or fill out an accident report. Are there any chances my job could be in danger, my boss simply said he'd look at it today and thanks for letting him know. Hey guys! Ok, so basically the question says it all, what are some great guitar amps? My budget, well basically anything below $3000. I mostly play hard rock and blues, but from time to time, I do play heavy metal as well. Most songs I play are Led Zeppelin songs. I am a Zeppelin fanatic!!! So I just need a great amp on which I can play Zeppelin songs, so that it will sound close to the recording. I have seen so many videos on Youtube with all these people playing Led Zeppelin covers, and they sound exactly like the recording. In order to do this, is a good amp enough, or do you also need a sh**load of other stuff as well? I have also seen people doing covers of U2 songs, they also sound dead on, if not exactly alike!!! Right so for the first time in a couple years I went on a scale today and sufficed to say Im about 275 pounds give or take 1 or 2 pounds. I don't have to much available to me im not going to go purchase some diet pills or acai berrys. When it comes to actual excersise equipment I have a treadmill so what would be a good amount of time to run/walk on it? Im in the country in Lovelady texas so I can go for walks and things too. It make the purpose by the pessenger because of hard break to be delivered to the front seat fastly also probably head first which can cause suffocation and break away or even rip off the head because of a really good smash breaking speed the breakingly aerocraft can deliver to the pessenger when the pilote is to be realizen that the aeroplane is not fast enough to climb up for take off! This is just an excerpt of a novel I am writing. Any advice or comments are greatly appreciated! "It might be down there in the park, Jane," cried Helen. I deliberately followed my friends, hesitating toward what they were about to see. I knew they weren't prepared for what lay ahead, nor I prepared to face their reactions of the darkness that awaits in the park. With a few more steps we would reach the end of the hill and look down upon the scene that appeared in my nightmare. "Melissa!" Jane and Helen exclaimed in unison. I didn't open my eyes in fear that my nightmares were about to become my realities. "Don't go towards it!" I screamed. In my closed eyes I could picture the hill in which Jane, Helen, and I were standing on; the hill that leads down towards the playground and park. I could see the day wasn't bright and sunny like a nice day should be. The skies were turning gray and the air was getting heavier. Fog surrounded the playground as it wrapped around the poles of the swing set, glided on top of the slide, and touched every corner of the boxed area. In the corner of the playground was a dark, misty-like smoke hiding past the playground equipment. The smoke seemed to resemble a figure, not a person, not an animal, but of an epitome of darkness, of evil. The dark smoke was growing, growing past the fog and overcoming the playground with every timed second. "It will hurt you! Get away!" I shouted again, eyes still closed. "Melissa, what are you talking about?! Open your eyes!" Jane exclaimed. I opened my eyes, finding out that my imagination appeared only in my head and not in real life. "What's the matter with you, Mel?" Helen asked. "Um, nothing. I just thought...never mind." I hesitantly said. "Don't scare us like that. Now, get down here before we start dragging you." Jane demanded. What Jane and Helen were leading me to was not as scary as my nightmares, but it was almost equally heart wrenching. "Mel, read us that last clue again." Jane said with curiosity. As I fumbled for the tiny crinkled paper in my back pocket, sweat began to bead on the top of my forehead, and heat wasn't the only factor affecting me. more

hi i smoke medical marijuana on a daily basis. i drive, and work around a lot of heavy equipment while fully medicated with no adverse affect on my physical or mental ability. i do not understand why marijuana is illegal and why the government and a good majority of Americans are so against a dried plant being consumed. I am a General Manager at a highly respected truck driving and heavy equipment school. We are accredited but the programs that we offer are too short to qualify for conventional students loans. So with that being said we are unable to get many people financed for our programs that range in cost from 4k to 10k. Do you have any recommendations on loan or finance companies that handle these type of private loans for our prospects? Or any investors that you could recommend that may be willing to entertain the idea of lending to some of the individuals that are considering our program with the understanding that they may discount the loan or charge a loan origination fee of some sort on taking on the risk that is involved? more

Resolved Question: what would be the after effect of the beaches if mass equipment were used in the oil spill clean up?

when seeing news footage of the clean up in the gulf, i see footage that shows things like 5 guys out there with shovels and trash bags. to mee this seams a little insignificant. question is why cant they bring in heavy duty equipment, say a thousand bull dozers and dump trucks, just skim the top 10 inches of sand, find some place to dump it, for example an abandoned rock quarry, tell BP to build a refinery and refine it over the next 10 years. would this cause environmental issues to the beaches to lose the top 10 inches of sand. more

I want to move my family to washington state as I already had several call backs for work in related feilds instead of construction. Resolved Question: my husband is asking for wage to help me in my business?

Hi, Would you give me your opinion please in this matter. Im running a small bouncy castle hire and children entertainment business. Im a short and petite woman, all my equipments are heavy, just a bouncy castle weights about 60 kg. I can lift it in and out to my car, take it to places with a trolley, but i have to put all my energy together to lift a big an heavy thing like this+ there are lots of other equipments also which are heavy. Im not only taking these bouncy castles to parties but organizing events, so after setting up a bouncy castle Im supervising it for 3 to 6 hours occasionally. My husband who is very helpful, was helping me to lift the bouncy castles, helping to set up and supervise, etc. for the past 2 years. Recently he asked me if I want him to help i should give him 50% of my profit, or give him a wage for the work he is doing for me. While Im fully appreciating his help in everything in my business it got me as a surprise. I was always telling him in the past years that I would like to compensate him for his help later on when Im in the position to take money out of this business, but the time unfortunately did not come yet. Time and Time again I ponder this question. Is starting up a business nothing more than organizing the people to do it? At least for businesses that are NOT capital intensive. Obviously, starting a telecommunications company involves spending massive amounts of capital on equipment. Whereas an Accounting Firm is nothing more than organizing human labor to process paperwork. Right? Voting Question: What equipment will I need and what exercises should I practice for weight training?

I would like to gain some muscle on my arms (especially the biceps), my shoulders, and abdomen. What size weights or dumbbells should I acquire for the arms and shoulders? What kind of weight lifting exercises should I practice (please include a link or reference to a guide). In terms of the abdomen region, what kind of exercises could I practice to tone? Note that I an 5"11, 142 lbs, and 16 yrs old. I am relatively skinny, and am not amazingly strong so I cannot lift anything too heavy. Resolved Question: Landlord withholding Deposit after deductions?

Jurisdiction/Place: USA - Colorado We moved to Colorado in October of 2008. A nice little 3 bed 2 bath with a small walk out patio, a bottom floor apartment. We gave an $875.00 deposit, signed the lease and had 4 days to complete a check-in sheet. She said we didn't have to be very specific, but I knew in the back of my head she would screw us over so I went over everything "with a fine comb." The floors were absolutely disgusting, the patio screen door was broken and wouldn't latch and various things throughout the apartment. Fast forward to March/April of 2010. We gave our 30 days notice saying we would be out by May 1, 2010. She immediately turned into psycho landlord. We sat there and let her walk all over us during that last 30 days, without complaining because we needed our deposit back. It is now June 29, 2010 and we got a letter and a check from her in the mail dated June 26, 2010. The check is in the ammount of $662.00. She claims (as written in letter Additional Cleaning: (1/2 of $80.00) - $40.00 Carpet Cleaning: (1/2 of $150.00) - $75.00 Had to have re-cleaned / tenants cleaned unit while carpets were still wet/damp. Repairs: Haul off satelite dish, clean patio, repair large holes near/below TV enclosure area, $75.00; Repair screen: $23.00 Total Deductions: $213.00 Balance due to tenant $662.00 _____________________ *Additional cleaning is NOT correct, my mother in law went through the house and everything was cleaned spotless AND "polished". We have pictures. *Carpet Cleaning. We had the carpets cleaned after we moved out and cleaned, the only thing we did was 3 days AFTER they were cleaned we went in (with NO shoes on) and polished the linoleum floors. We had things in the kitchen (which had the walk-out doors onto the patio) so NOTHING went on that carpet except our socks and the people she showed the unit to. I also have pictures of the whole house. PLUS on our Check IN sheet I put how nasty the carpet was. *Haul off satelite dish, I was instructed per Dish Network to leave dish behind. I will be contacting them and see if they are aware that she took THEIR equipment. *Clean patio, we scrubbed this with a scrub mop and heavy soap. It was 10x cleaner than when we moved in. *Repair large holes near/below TV enclosure area - we had a shelf under the tv and my husband put some putty stuff in the holes (per the guy at Home Depot) and you could not tell there were even tiny holes there. We also have pictures of this. *Repair screen - as I listed in our check-in sheet that it was broken. I want to go to the apartment (it is visible from outside) and take pictures because I know she didn't fix the screen! It was broken and listed when we moved in. This is not right at all! The only thing I am going to have a problem with is that I don't have a copy of the check in list, I was stupid and gave her what we wrote on, but she has the list in her posession. Do we take this to small claims court? We are in our early twenties, and I know she would try and walk all over us if we go to court unprepared so I would have to get an attorney to help be the "grown up" who knows what they are talking about, legally. The house was always clean. She insisted on showing the property while we were moving, and she even took someone in there the day after we had the carpets cleaned. If there were stains it was from her showing it. She rented the unit a few weeks after we moved out, and we just NOW get the letter saying what she did. She runs the property management company. She then hires her husband to work for her and be the maintenance man. They hire a guy to come help him when someone moves out. There was NO cleaning that needed to be done, the satelite dish was not supposed to be moved by me, the holes were already patched by my husband and the screen was listed on the check in list. Resolved Question: My mom is going deaf and I am tired of yelling and repeating everything.?

I can't say anything because she also either has bipolar or early signs of dementia and will completely flip out like she does sometimes anyway. So I am afraid to buy her anything to help her hear or tell her nicely that she needs help. The only time I am able to tell her she needs to get help is when she has a temper tantrum and I tell her that is not normal behavior and she needs to get counseling. Then she storms off and either doesn't remember or ACTs like she doesn't remember anything ever happened. Does anyone know how I can handle this? I don't want to leave her with no one. My daughter and I are the only family she has and when I talk about us moving she doesn't want us to go by ourselves. I think it is really for another reason. She also has no friends cause she is a very bitter and crabby person. It is very difficult to be around her and when she picked up some heavy work out Equipment and threw it in front of my daughter and scared her I basically said that is it, she can be alone all her life I don't care but sometimes she is nice and I feel sorry for her, till she has another outburst. Please help. I hope no one says to just talk to her cause she was always harsh to me as a child and even though I know I can take her I feel terrible anxiety at the thought of any type of confrontation.
