Open Question: Funniest Dirtiest Joke Ever!?
So this farmer walks across his farm when he slips into a mud puddle. He is now dirty. moreOpen Question: Getting the other insurance to pay medical bills from auto accident?
My daughter was ia passenger involed in an auto accident that was not her fault. Both my daughter and her boyfriend sought medical care and his insurance paid 100%. After she was done treating she contacted the party at faults insurance and asked for a small amount for her pain/suffering and for them to reimburse the medicla payments so that she could pay back her boyfriends insurance that paid the medical bills. She was offered not even close to what the medical payments were. She has been going back and forth with them and they are only offering $2,100. The party that hit them said that (State Farm) that they are basing their amount on reasonable and necessary medical and general damages. We are in California and I was told that the insurance copanies do not subrigate to get the money back from the other insurance, even if they are at fault. I think this is awful that the at fault insurance (state farm) will not even pay 100% of her medical bills, which were reasonable and necessary. They are not doctors, so how would they know. That's why we even had a report filed and sent by the doctor. Should we sue in small claims and if so, do we sue State Farm (at faults insurance) and the driver? I'm not really sue what to do and do not want to hire an attorney. That will drag it mon forever and then he will want money. I am hoping that if we file in small claims and the insured gets a summons for being sued this will prompt the insurance company to pay what is their responsability. Or, should she just accept the $2,100 and walk away. moreOpen Question: Looking for pc game? management/strategy?
I am looking for a pc game, and want to management one, with farming, mining ETC. but not to centered on combat, but I want it to be included. I don't want settlers and already have Anno 1404, any ideas? moreOpen Question: Advice & pros & cons of raising chickens?
I'm considering building a coop & bringing in chickens (Northeast USA) for eggs & perhaps help cut back on Deer Ticks. I had some farm experience growing up, am familiar with basic livestock care, looked up further info about chickens and have some preliminary perspectives. (If you have some good links I'll take them) But in asking you this question, I'd like to set what I "think" I know aside, assume I know nothing, and hear from real folks. I have kids who also want this and I'd like someone to help break down the actual responsibility for me so I can present it to (older) children. They've had positive experience caring for cats & dogs so far in their lives. Looking for specific advice. My initial questions are: - how many to start with - what type are hardy and appropriate for a Northeast winter/summer extreme climate - how much square footage to roam in - daily & overall responsibility by an actual owner. - what feed do you recommend to keep their eggs "organic" & all natural - approximate cost of feed per month - how much per chicken daily - how you keep up the water supply - how often do you clean out coop - expected & unexpected vet & medical bills - how to keep bird diseases at bay - what do you do if an egg cracks or gets stuck inside a bird? How often does this happen? How can you tell? - If I go ahead and do this, and find your advice to be relevant, can the kids and I get in touch with you from time to time via Y/A to ask questions? I very much appreciate someone taking the time to explain this. Sometimes I look to some of you folks as a "partner", a resource, and back-up voice in raising my kids, showing them how to reach out for help, ask questions, respect other opinions, etc. They also learn not to be the victim of their last speaker, with some of the characters on Y/A! In this case, it would be to research an idea before investing the money, getting in over our heads, and accidentally killing chickens! Thanks. moreOpen Question: Future Baby Name Game (part 2)?

This is the third night in the row with the same sick kittens appearing in my dreams. I find all three of them, with their eyes closed as if by some disease and with patches in their fur as if they are ill. I know there's a chance I can't cure them, but I am going to try. The two I always remember are a white one and a tabby one, with the third always so far back from the other two I never see it clearly. The sick kittens are only a concern to me. My father and husband who both appear in the dream seem disinterested, trying to get me to focus on something else. My dog, a lovely Welsh Corgi my husband and I got years ago and who loves cats in real life, is always at my side. She shares my concerns and is very careful in pointing them out to me. The rest of the details of the dream change, such as location (college dorm room, the family farm, some unknown house) but there are always the same three kittens. I would like to know what symbolically the sick kittens represent. While as a child I used to try to cure the sick kittens among the barn cats it has been years since I have done that. Thanks for your help. moreOpen Question: Are you a breed 'elitist'? Silly, fun, but kind of serious.?
I got a poodle after planning for years to get a Sibe or a Shiba. (The woman i was living with at the time suddenly had respiratory problems so obviously a high shedding breed was a no go!) I entered into the breed, knowing a few books worth of information and one previous poodle in my life int he form of a neighbors farm dog. So, even though i got the poodle, in a way, by accident. I've found myself really getting into the breed 'sub culture' as it were, with a list of famous owners, really helped me with my grooming. I love the guy, i love the breed. More then i think i ever did love the idea of the sibe. I love all dogs, and will never say one is better then the other (It's purely your own opinion and circumstance,) And damn if i don't still love mixed breeds. Seriously, love them, some of the best dogs i've ever met have been mixed breeds. But recently it definitely seems like i'm getting very into the breed, i see another owner i stop to talk, i delight in tales about amazing poodles, and love showing my boy's tricks and commands off. I know a lot of people who are very 'elite' for their Labradors, and many Chihuahua, Bulldog, Yorkie and Sprocker (English Cocker/springer cross) Spaniel fans. Who would never think of a different breed, and seem to think that their breed is the bees knees, best thing in the world. So, would you say you were? If so for what breed? And was it an accident like me and the poodle? Oh, and mixed breeds, mutts, mongrels, bitzers (Bits of this, bits of that) etc. They count as a breed! Because they are wonderful and have some of the most loyal owners in the world! As mentioned, the dog you like is based on your circumstances, but a lot of people will only ever get one breed, and will have this high view of that breed. And will often forgo having a dog if they can't have that breed. The lab owner i know had to go five years without a dog because she moved from her larger country home to a town flat and couldn't really give a good life to a dog. One of the first things she did after getting the new house was get a lab! I'm talking about loving to read things, watch things and talk about you breed. You don't even have to own a dog to be a fan of the breed. moreOpen Question: Can u guys tell me the most important details in this agriculture article?
TITLE = Progress on Vaccine for 'Ich,' Bane of Fish Farms and Home Aquarium Hobbyists ScienceDaily (Aug. 30, 2010) — Tests of the potential vaccine against "Ich" ― the dreaded "white-spot" disease that plagues fish in commercial fish farms, public aquariums, pet fish retail outlets, and home aquariums ― are raising hopes for finally controlling the disease, scientists reported at the 240th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS). ________________________________________ "Outbreaks of the parasitic disease caused by Ichthyophthirius (Ich) can result in losses of 50-100 percent of fish," Dehai Xu, Ph.D., said in presenting the results. "The disease is very common, and almost every home fish hobbyist has encountered it. Once the parasite infects fish, and starts growing in the skin, fins, and gills, there is no really effective treatment. Ich causes losses estimated at $50 million annually. It would be much better to prevent the disease." As an indication of the difficulty in treating Ich outbreaks, Xu used the example of an infection that strikes a commercial fish farming pond, which might have a surface area equal to 10 or 20 high school football fields. The typical treatment involves pouring in a solution of formaldehyde, a potentially toxic substance. Hundreds of gallons might be needed, and farmers might have to repeat the treatment several times. Even after treatment, the fish would be at risk of reinfection if they encountered the parasite again, he said. "To vaccinate against Ich, you would need much less medication, and it would not pose an apparent threat to the environment," Xu pointed out. "And you would need just one treatment to make the fish immune for life." Xu explained that efforts to develop an Ich vaccine have focused on use of so-called "trophonts," which are the infective stage of the Ich parasite's life cycle. Trophonts burrow into a fish's skin, fins, and gills, causing the white skin spots characteristic of the disease. Those efforts have been hindered, however, by gaps in scientific knowledge about how fish develop protective immunity to trophonts. Xu and colleagues, Drs. Phillip Klesius and Craig Shoemaker, who are with the U. S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in Auburn, Al., set out to fill those gaps. Their study evaluated influence of vaccine formulation and doses of vaccine on protective immunity of channel catfish against Ich. The results showed that vaccination with live Ich theronts and trophonts killed with high-frequency sound waves stimulated production of protective antibodies in the catfish. "This study demonstrated that vaccines against Ich induced protective immunity and could provide a unique solution to prevent this parasitic disease through vaccination," Xu said. "An Ich vaccine would have great impact by preventing the disease, minimizing loss of valuable fish and increasing profitability of aquaculture." Xu noted that the study was a small, laboratory-scale endeavor, with unsolved problems on the road ahead to a commercial vaccine. One, for instance, involves producing a large quantity of Ich antigen for the vaccine and then formulating a vaccine that can be easily administered to large numbers of fish in a "bath" or in food, rather than by injection. In the bath approach, fish would be kept in a container or an enclosure with water containing the vaccine. This study is within the component of ARS National Program 106-"Aquaculture" to improve health and welfare of aquatic animals. Xu and colleagues hope their study will bring more attention to the research to combat this disease. moreOpen Question: holiday survey which would you prefer.. Today is football day and my husband's football food consists of beer bratwurst (Hillshire Farm brand), cheese queso and chips, hot wings, and sausage wrap rolls. I imagine, based on what I've read that I can't have the bratwurst, the queso (something about soft cheeses?), and the sausage wrap rolls. Will the hot wings be okay?? Also, if a food is made with alcohol (such as the beer bratwurst) is that safe for consumption since it's been cooked out or should it be completely avoided? Thank you! Y'all are my pregnancy saviors until my doctor's appointment!!The sausage wrap rolls I believe have nitrates in them-they're like mini hot dogs so that's why I was concerned about that. moreOpen Question: Where can i go rabbit hunting in the UK with a dog and an air rifle?

they are simply not eating that which has been produced by the society in which we live; a production that is inevitable concerning the majority and is unlikely to stop? The truth is a vegetarian in no way saves 100 animal lives a year. A vegetarian merely allows that which has been produced to go to waste and thrown in the trash in a sense. It really isn't about saving 100 lives a year. Those lives will still be eaten and if not thrown out as waste. Vegetarians do not live on a local farm on a minute scale making decisions about the animals lives so they could accurately say they have saved 100 lives. Furthermore, there is quite a staggering percentage even in supermarkets and that that is chucked out when 'past its sell by date' or has not been bought that is thrown to the waste..In a sense, by not consuming that which has been produced they are being wasteful and irresponsible. The carcasses are dead anyhow. You didn't kill them. By not eating them, you are not saving them from death; the juggernaut is bigger than all of us trivial, singular mortals; they will be produced anyway..It just seems naive thinking to me.So, if you do not eat from your own volition, you don't like the taste or cannot stomach meat, it makes you sick, don't claim you are saving the planet one at a time because it is time to wake up you're not. The chicken you could have had for dinner feeds another mouth or is thrown in the trash as something that has not met supply and demand..that is all..you saved nothing...you're no superman/wonderwoman.. moreOpen Question: how to have sex with my male neighbour? please answer?

Such as pets or just animals in general. My partner annd i both love animals. so to us we hope it is important as we hope she is the same. Unsure how our cat will deal with them though... In another 3years our plan is to move out of town a llittle way and get chickens, ducks, horses, pigs, sheep and a cow or 2. oh and a llama ♥. kind of like a farm. but more for playing then eating. (the eating animals i wont befriend) anyways, If you dont have the space for pets (ie- small unit or no yard area) Do you take your child to the zoo/ wildlife park ect? And if you do bring your children up around animals, what animals does your child like best? Elissa is mesmerised by our cat. Stares at him all day long. Crawls up to him and pats him gently. so cute. How wouldnt it be a healthy environment? they wouldnt be inside our house. and she will be close to four by then. hmm. opinions on why you dont think it is healthy environment plz? =)oh sorry, when i said out of town, to me that automatically means owning a few acres as out of town where i am is bush. it would be a large property. with proper pens ect. For the past couple of nights, I keep dreaming about the popular girls from my school bullying me. In real life, some of them are my friends and are nice to me, but in my dreams, even they are humiliating me. Last night I had a terrifying dream of being at someone's house and it was out on a farm. A few girls were hanging me out of the window by my legs, like in the beginning of New Jack City, and the others were throwing out my sandals and belonging out the window. And these boys from my school were watching and it traumatized me. So when I went back to my house, which is weird because it was the house that I used to live in, not the one I currently live in, it's own fire. I panic and run to my neighbor's house, which was also in my old neighborhood, and I kept asking her to call the fire department, but she insisted on putting out the flames with a bucket of water and dish soap. I kept worrying about my mother being dead because she was still in the house, but when I went to get her, she was asleep the whole time. The strangest part was that the house was like it was before it caught fire. And the whole time I was apologizing to myself for hanging with the popular girls instead of watching the house. I kept blaming myself for letting the house burn down because I wasn't there to watch it. I don't know why I keep having dreams of the mean girls from my school bullying me. We rescued a cat from our local humane society about five years ago, Iris. She was not a super young kitten, but was under a year old so we do not know about all of her past. She was added to our family along with our two other cats. A year or so after we got Iris, our oldest cat passed away at the age of 19. Then it was the two cats - Iris and Spot (now 10). Last August we took in a very young kitten, Gracie. She was quite the naughty kitten but she got along great with the dogs and other cats. Over the late winter/early spring months she started peeing all over our living room carpet. There was no hope for the carpet and we had to rip it out. Gracie went to live on a farm owned by a friend of our's as a mouser. Now, Iris has started peeing in the house. The cats are strictly inside cats and where we live they are not able to be outside without the worry of them easily getting hit by a car. I would appreciate any and all advice! Iris was declawed so I would worry about her becoming an outside cat (Gracie had all of her claws). Thank you in advance.Iris does still use the litterbox so is not only peeing elsewhere. I have also had cats all my life, but this is the first time I have ever had problems with them peeing in the house.
