Resolved Question: How do you reprogram a linear garage door opener?
I have a keypad outside of my garage and the previous owner never left the manual. So my remotes don't work and I can't get into my garage! Please help!
moreResolved Question: Does a multicode or linear garage door opener work the same?
I am going to buy garage door remote controls and the ones I've been looking at have 10, 9 or 8 DIP switches. The one I currently use has 10 DIP switches. Does this matter? Would a 8 or 9 work? The names of these are usually multicode (10 switches) or linear (8-9 switches).
moreResolved Question: Garage button door opener?
I need a garage door transmitter (a "clicker") that has multi buttons (at least two) and can be programed to open different kinds of doors/gates.
I have a Blue Max garage door with a remote that uses 12 dip switches, and our community gate uses a Linear with 8 dip switches.
I'm having a tough time finding a transmitter that can be programmed for to operate both, but I know they exist, because I used to have one that was made by "Clicker," I believe. You could program that one electronically by using the buttons. Any ideas?

moreResolved Question: I need help programming my replacement garage door remote control.?
I live in a condo building with a shared garage door and I lost my remote. I bought a replacement remote at Home Depot. It's a Chamberlain Clicker universal remote with two buttons. It has 2 banks of switches - one bank of 4 "brand" switches, and one bank of 12 DIP switches.
I tried to program the remote using my neighbor's remote's settings, but her remote only has one bank of 10 DIP switches. The brand of her remote is "Linear". I don't know the brand of my building's garage door opener, but I've tried to program all 16 combinations of my new remote's 4 "brand" switches, also copying the first 10 DIP switch settings from my neighbor's remote (with my last 2 DIP switches set to off) ... to no avail. My neighbor's remote works and I can't get mine to work. Help!

The garage door opener with three LED lights is not made or supported by Homelink. The steps in the manual are not working. I have a Linear Moore O Matic GDO. I followed the steps in the manual at least 10 times with no luck. Please help.
moreResolved Question: I have a linear garage door opener that wont close by itself unless you use the manual button, HELP!?
I have dont everything, I've adjusted the sensors, cleaned them, made sure nothing was blocking them and I've switched them to opposite sides of the door in case sunlight was interfering with the beam and nothing works. How can I tell if the senors are bad, or if the board is bad? When the door is closed, the receiver light flickers a bit, could there be a short in the wire? When the door is open during the day the receiver light is completely off, at night it flickers the same as when the door is closed. The doors do not interfere with the sensor alignment, they are attached to the wall. Nothing blocks the beam. Thanks for your help!!its not the remote, you cant even close the door if you push the button in the garage unless you hold it down until the door is completely closed.
moreResolved Question: I have a Linear garage door opener and it refuses to close during the day. Do I need to replace sensors?
I was told to clean the sensors to make sure dirt wasnt blocking transmission and i did it. I was told the sunlight could blanch the beam and to move the sensors back away from the door and that didnt work. When the door is closed the red light indicates it is receiving transmission however it occasionally flickers. When the door is open the red light goes off completely with occasional flickers. Could this mean I have bad sensors? The garage door opener is approx. 3 years old and has never closed during the day without a manual override. Thanks for you help!!!If they are bad do I have to buy specific ones?each sensor has a green light and the receiver has a red light when it receives the beam. when i shake the wires the green power light of the sender goes on and off, maybe the sender isnt getting enough power.
