- Holding down the gray smart learn button does NOT work.
- Model 1155LM, manufacturing date 07/91

moreResolved Question: Need help in reprogramming my Liftmaster 1145LM garage opener. Dont have manual.?
I need to reprogram the garage unit of my old garage door opener Liftmaster 1145LM from 1992. It has a smart learn button in the back. I need instructions from a manual for this unit on how to reprogram and then how to sync a universal hand-held remote to it. Any help?I need to change the unit "frequency" itself, not just the remote control. I believe it is interfering with another garage in the neighborhood.
moreResolved Question: Are Craftsman Garage Door Remots Compatable with Liftmaster 1355 Unit?
I already have an existing craftsman garage door opener. It's 5 months old. Now the other door needs a new opener and I want to install a Liftmaster 1355.
Can the Liftmaster 1355 be programmed to accept craftsman remote signal?
I need an EXPERT opinion. Not some random person who knows how to do an internet search. Don't advise me to buy a universal remote; that's not what I'm asking. If you are not an expert and give me a stupid answer, I'll report it.
thanks!

I have a Chamberlain Liftmaster garage door opener. The opener has worked fine until today. When I use the remote to close the door, it won't close. I can hold the button on the wall and it will close. The led light on the actual garage door opener is occasionally flashing every few seconds or so. Also, the led lights on both sensors on both sides of the door are off. They are not obstructed and I checked both sets of wires to see if they are receiving power, they are. Are my eyes bad? Or the board on the garage opener?

moreResolved Question: Garage door won't close when it's cold outside?
When the temp reaches around 30 degrees my garage door will not close. It is a Liftmaster chain drive.
I've read other posts about this problem and have tried checking the auto reverse sensors, lubricating the rollers, etc. I released the door from the opener and the door moves very freely. But the opener will not run in the closing direction even without the door connected to it. It stops immediately when I push the remote button and the light flashes. I can make it go down by holding the button on the wall..
moreResolved Question: How do I fix the light on a Liftmaster 1245 garage door opener?
We've checked to make sure the light bulb works (it does), so it's something wrong with the opener. I like to have the light come on when I come home in the dark. I don't want to replace the entire opener since the light is the only thing that doesn't work.
moreResolved Question: We have a liftmaster garage door opener that's about 15 years old. Cold weather seems to affect remote use.?
When it's below freezing, the remotes don't work (door will not go up or down, light flashes), The wall switch does work. Batteries in both remotes have been replaced, nothing is blocking the remote sensors. What can cause this?
moreResolved Question: How to program garage door opener?
My garage door is programmed to open to the remote in my car. I now want to give a second remote to someone else, but the one that came with the opener no longer works. The batteries are fine. moreResolved Question: Please help. Why is my Genie screw-drive garage door opener not opening the door?
I replaced a liftmaster chain driven opener with a genie and everything seem to go pretty okay. I still haven;t done the floor safety beams or the wall control but when I hookup the door to the genie and test it using the remote. The motor runs for a second or two, lifts the door about an inch off the ground and then stops. Is the door to heavy? its a 2 car garage but the spings and everything is fine and when I open and close the door by hand the torsioin springs seem to be doing the job becasue the door feels nice and light,.
I also tried adjusting the open and close FORCE dial on the opener but that didn;t seem to help. The instrucion manual says that the wall control and the safety beams must be installed to be able to CLOSE the door, but at this point i;m just trying to test if it will open.... Please help! Can i use the floor beams from the liftmaster?

moreResolved Question: Both garage door remotes stopped working?
actually they were working to open the garage door only. The button on the wall works fine. I checked the safety sensors and the lights are working on them and that appears to be okay. Batteries are good. I reprogrammed them and now it looks like the opener is recieving the transmition because the light on the back of the open flashes when I push the button but the door doesn't move.....and then if you try it later then it works....to open the door only....what could it be? (the opener is a Liftmaster)
moreVoting Question: How can I have my Garage door keychain learn off the master remote since my apartment complex wont help me?
My apartment complex uses a Liftmaster 970 LM for their gate and the garages they supply us here however the remotes they give us are too bulky and are a pain in the ass to carry around since you need it to open the complex gate AND your garage. So I decided to buy a keychain version of it so I don't have to lug it around..
I have programmed the garage no problem and the keychain knows it flawlessly however the apartment complex wont let me learn their "gate code" onto the more convienent remote instead because "its not theirs" and they "didnt give it to us" regardless that you can buy the same liftmaster remote out of any supercenter in the auto department with garages. Same model same all. Asinine
Is there way to have the 2 door cicker Liftmaster signal transfer onto the keychain that we already have and is totally unreliable and obnoxious? Or do we have to convince them for us to "learn it?" The keychain is tiny and the size of a pinky finger in comparison and stays on the keys vs something you have to keep in your car and bring upstairs/downstairs everyday just to get in your door.
I have this model now:
http://www.liftmaster.com/consumerweb/pages/accessoriesmodeldetail.aspx?modelId=811
It is coming from the 2 door opener. I heard there was a way to transmit the signal. Ty!

moreResolved Question: Liftmaster Pro Garage Door Opener Lights?
I have a lift Master Pro Garage Door Opener. 41A5483-1B Reciever for a model 2255-5.
The light works just fine when I push the button or open the door. However they don't turn on when I walk through the open garage door. (I know that they are supposed to) Anyways does anyone have any idea how to fix this or Where I can get a manuel?
They have never worked when walking through the door. There are motion detectors. The ones on the bottom of the tracks that prevents the door from closing if something is in the way. Well Not really motion detectors but when something breaks the beam the door stops closing.
I know that it is supposed to do this because my neighbor has the same garage opener and his does it. I have compared the wiring and it is the same.

moreResolved Question: how easy is it to unlock a garage door without an opener/key?
alright, this person has it out for me... and my girlfriend showed me texts from his phone saying "i know where his car is..its really easy to open" and hes talking about my garage.
awhile ago i lost my opener, so my apartment manager made it so i can manually open my garage, and after doing that for awhile it broke, and it was really really really heavy to open up. anyways, they fixed it, but im not sure if they made it to where you either 1) had to ahve a key to open it, and 2) or had to have my garage opener.
anyways, some point in this time period, he found out where my garagfe was, and found out he could just lift it up to open it up. if it is proparlly fixed (meaning you need to have a key/opener to open it) how easy is it to just manually open it, regardless?
the garage is a liftmaster garage btw.

I need to purchase some Chamberlain Liftmaster 371LM remotes for my Liftmaster garage door opener. The "learn button" on the back is purple. From what I can tell, this means that I need the 313 MHz frequency model of the Liftmaster 371LM instead of the 295 MHz version. They both say Security+ on them though. How do I tell the difference or does it even matter? Thank you for all of your help.
moreResolved Question: Chamberlain Liftmaster 41ac050-1 won't close for 1-2 Minutes everyday in the morning, why?
My Chamberlain Liftmaster 41ac050-1 won't close every time I go out of the garage in the morning for about 2 minutes! moreResolved Question: LiftMaster door opens but then won't close?
The garage door will open with either the remote or the door control button - but when you try to close it, it won't move and the opener light blinks - this is the first time it's done this since I moved in - maybe the rain caused it? Anyway, what do I do to get it to open and close?

moreResolved Question: One remote, two garage door openers. Remote only works one. Need help in making it learn.?
I bought a new house with two garage doors. No manual for openers. One is a craftsman, purple learn button, remote is 139.53753, three button (one large, two smaller). Other door is a Liftmaster, orange learn button. Craftman remote opens the craftsman opener, but no joy on the liftmaster side. So far unable to get the liftmaster to "learn" the remote signal. Any ideas?
moreResolved Question: How to disable safety sensor on garage door opener?
I have a Chamberlain Liftmaster w/ the pain-in-the-butt sensors on the door track. I have a feeling that one of them has "gone bad." The one with the yellow LED is remaining illuminated, however, the green one - the sending unit - is caput. If I jostle the sensor the light will flicker and fade out. I have removed it and all the internals appear OK, nothing damaged nor any wires are seperated from their connections and I am certain it is aligned correctly - there's no way to make it illuminate even by aligning it by hand. It was not bumped, but rather just stopped working after I was away on business for 5 days and it was unused.
My desire is to bypass this system. I don't have any animals nor are there small children around that I need to consider. Plus, my garage door is aluminum and extremely light. A two year old could lift this thing so the sensors really are a nuisance. How can I bypass the circuit? Can I simply connect the two wires together and hard wire the circuit closed? There HAS to be a way. Some contractor out there knows how to do this.
Also, if your only intent is to warn me of the danger with statements like "why do you think its called a safety sensor" save yourself the time. I'm only looking for confirmation this can or cannot be done and not the indignant opinion of someone who doesn't know how these systems operate.
Thanks in advance. It's a model # 41A5021-5F if that helps.
